Importance of sleep our rejuvenator
How do you pick up your day when you don’t get enough sleep? Are you fully present after a bad night of sleep?
You probably go to bed knowing that the next day you have to work, and you just need that 8 hours of sleep, it is so crucial for you to get your deserved rest. And then, you get a bad night. Maybe your partner was making too much snoring noise, maybe you just have too much on your head, too stressed, or maybe you ate too late. Maybe your neighbor had a party.
There can be different reasons, but if you don’t get your deserved rest, mostly you can hardly pick up the day.
Usually, you will get some coffee because you need to jump in the car and get to your work. You have your obligations and expectations from others. Especially if you have a family. I know, I am a mother and a wife.
The world would be a much better place if the whole society would function differently, I know.
We are hoping for the best. At least I would love to create a different society in which we would have totally different working hours and climates. That is possible and we are closer than ever to making that happen.
But for now, some of us need to go to early in the morning to their job and work hard and provide for their family.
Sleep. Yes, is important as anything else. We need to have those 8 hours of sleep. It is even proven that there is a slight difference between women and the man, and woman needs more sleep than the male population. Why is that so? Because women have a complex hormonal bodily system. Once I read a nice comparison between male and female. Based on Instructions for females and males, and then a difference. The female had like 20 buttons, and the male had only one. When your body has so many different applications it also needs more time to regenerate and gather energy.
When I have a bad night or more nights in a row, I am just not human anymore.

So, how do you deal with sleep disorders?
The most important thing to know is to get your sleep between 10 pm and 0:2 am. This is a valuable time for you to stay in bed. All the healing is happening then. Our central nervous system, lymphatic, endocrine, and cardiovascular systems, are healing. Organs are getting their rejuvenation; the immune system is preparing. And more. And you can see how complex our body is, and what it has to do during your sleep, while you actually don’t even probably notice.
If you go to bed and you just can’t fall asleep at 10 p.m., what then?
Well, you just stay in bed and just try to fall asleep. Just give your body unnecessary rest, even if you can’t get any rest at all. Lie in bed and give your body some relaxation. And don’t get angry with you. Keep it balanced as much as you can. And if you do fall asleep later, for example around 0:00 midnight and you sleep for one hour, you still did get some sleep healing.
And no, that is not enough for human beings to reload and recharge, but it is something. We need at least 6 hours of sleep. For me, 8 hours is the best. You need to see what works for you. And there are some exams, but 6 hours is a must.
What if you work at night?
You have a night shift. Or you do have some kind of disorder. Then you just close your eyes and rest between 10 pm to 0:2 am. Even if you are awake, you can still benefit from it.
Also, between 10 am to 2:00 pm during the day is a time to get those lost hours of sleep.
Even when you are lying in bed without sleep, some parts of the brain are sleeping. That is something I didn’t even know until I recently found out through Medical Medium and his teachings.
And what about dreams?
Unpleasant dreams like nightmares, frightening dreams. Dreams that relate to the current situation, maybe we worry too much about something. It can be a child or a good friend, or we lost everything. Or we lost the love of our life or job. And we try to figure out what those dreams are telling us. But all of them are there for us for one purpose, to heal. To heal our broken hearts and soul. We are processing broken fractures of our souls. Let them be.
So, what to do before you go to bed?
Well, first of all, and I find it very important, don’t eat too late. After 19:00 pm no heavy meals. If you are really hungry, go for an apple or banana. After 19:00 pm just drink some water or drink a herbal thee.
Don’t watch action or horror movies. It activates stress hormones.
No heavy conversations about finances.
You can meditate and read a book. Say a prayer. Walk with your family after the meal. Look into the stars.
We all know about other practices, but we are not familiar with stargazing. Even for a short period, like 30 seconds.
If you don’t have any stars in the sky, because of clouds, just imagine them, and look in the direction of the sky where they are.
The moment you start to look at them, you create a bond. You get a connection with them. Our brain gets that reconnection with the stars. The same is true for our sun. We don’t even look ever into the sky, but it is there, and it is waiting for us.
Everything is out there for a good reason for us. We just need to pay attention to it and start to recognize it.
