Leafy greens
How many leafy greens do you eat?
Is it one in a whale, once a week, two times a week, or sometimes?
Why do you think you need it in the first place?
Why do you need leafy greens in your diet?
How about some cilantro, kale, cabbage, spinach, arugula, beet greens, collard greens, dandelion greens, romaine lettuce swish chard,
They are absolutely not less important than fruits. They are equally important.
Leafy greens are a rich source of minerals, amino acids, and essential fats that our body needs to maintain our organs, connective tissue, and central nervous system. We can’t function properly without it.
I remember talking to one friend of mine about kale, and veggies like cabbage, broccoli… She was trying to convince me that all these veggies are bad for my thyroid. In other words, if I consume these I will develop a goitrogenic effect, which suppresses the thyroid.
Fear of something that someone out there starts to spread as information. Which is absolutely not true. Do you know how much kale or any other similar leafy greens you need to consume to affect your thyroid? A lot. You would need to eat it for a whole day.
So, eat your greens, and enjoy them, there is no need to unnecessarily worry about your thyroid health. As a matter of fact, your thyroid will be extremely happy if you introduce more greens into your diet.
And yes, everybody needs different amounts of leafy greens. It all depends on where you live, your age, your overall health, your amount of stress, and sunlight…
But eating them daily is recommendable. If you can’t add kale to the salad like me, add it to your smoothie.
Veggies
What do we really know about veggies? I know that when I was a child, I wasn’t really crazy about it. I was a difficult eater. Somehow, I would prefer some chicken and some bread, over veggies. But now, knowing how valuable these plants are, I put them daily for my family. And I have to say, our children are healthier than all the children in their classroom. And since we have twins and they don’t go to the same class, I compare them with almost 60 other children. Now, that’s a lot.
Being a mother today is not an easy job, it was never easy, but today we have different challenges than our ancestors. Pressure from society is huge on us, parents, and on our children too.
Veggies are full of fiber. Full of antioxidants, minerals, and of course, vitamins. They support the wonderful gut bacteria and help to flush bad bacteria out of our system.
I remember one story from someone I knew. He told me that when he was a child he was all day outside playing and that he would come home only when he was hungry. His father and mother were working, and they would come home late. Of course, that was a different time then. His mother always had a preparade meal for him and his sister but since his mother was also good at gardening, they always had a full garden with fresh veggies. So, he would always sneak into the garden and get some of the veggies. We did talk a lot about health, and we started to compare his, and my youth. I used to live in the building, and we didn’t have a garden. I didn’t play that much outside. I was pretty much sick as a child. And he, he was very healthy. So, he eats raw, non-prepared veggies in their pure, natural state without oils, salt, or anything else added. We talked about it and then he came to the realization that that was the key to his healthy body today.
Even if you didn’t have the healthiest choice as a child, you can still teach your body to eat better, to make a different choice.
What do those do that we don’t do?
They connect us with our Mother Earth. Their roots are connected to the earth and sometimes they go deep in the ground to pick up all those valuable minerals we desperately need. They bring us there where we are supposed to be.
When the summer comes, I usually walk barefoot. I feel the difference in my body. In the winter the only way to do so is through veggies. Yes, in the winter I do miss the sun, if I would stop eating veggies, I will lose all of my energy and my immunity will drop rapidly.
Veggies make you stronger on every level. People notice a difference when they start introducing veggies into their lives.
And there are so many tasty recipes that you can make with them. It can be so colorful and rich.
Eat more than once a day. Build it up if you don’t like to start immediately with all the goodies. What is important over here is that you can start recognizing the difference and your own body language.

When I do the shopping, I go straight to the veggie and fruit area. I know exactly what I want. And don’t waste your time trying to figure out if your veggies are biological. Usually, there are not. The most important thing is that you start from somewhere and inform where in your neighborhood there is some local farmer who can provide everything that you need.
All those veggies can help you heal. Don’t waste your time on pills and medications. Your body needs something from Mother Earth, and we just need to recognize and get in touch with our mother frequently again. It is where we belong as human beings. It is our home.
You can heal for sure!
I did it, so you can too! Give yourself some time and some patience. We must heal, for us and for our loved ones!
But start making a choice, that is beneficial to you, that will make you feel good, and that will give a proper nutrition and energy. Veggies will clean your body of everything that doesn’t belong there.
Don’t listen to those doctors who are telling you that there is no cure, that they don’t see what is causing your symptoms. Take your own power back, own your body. Nobody else can own your health. I know how it is because I was all alone. I didn’t have any group to support me or to tell me that I was not the only one, and mostly, that I wasn’t crazy.
You can do this, and you don’t have to be alone. I am right behind you!
