Light of the sun – life

23 years ago I moved to Holland to get married to my husband. We met in Kavala, Greece. Greece is beautiful and sunny. It just vibrates with light, and people over there look much healthier than in the areas like over here in Holland where the weather is usually very cloudy and rainy.

I grew up in Serbia, and over there we have 4 seasons. Summers are warm and beautiful. Sometimes it can be very hot, but I prefer hot to cold. It is of course your personal choice where are you going to live, but I did notice that in warm and sunny areas, people are happier. They can take more, and they have more energy.

People prove that they are adaptable to any circumstances, but what about their quality of life? That is a different story.

It is hard on people in the winter, they become easily depressed.

So, when the sun finally embraces us with its warm rays, we somehow become alive again.

And this is not without reason.

Besides vitamin D, there are many different sun benefits.

There is so much talking about vitamin D today. It became an obsession. It looks like it is the most important thing that we need to talk about when we mention the sun.

Sun is responsible for all the vitamins and minerals in the body. We can’t enhance vitamins properly without the sun.

  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin D
  • Vitamin E
  • Vitamin K
  • Vitamin B1
  • Vitamin B2
  • Vitamin B3
  • Vitamin B6
  • Vitamin B12
  • Vitamin B5
  • Vitamin B7
  • Vitamin B9

A number of minerals are essential for health: calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, chloride, magnesium, iron, zinc, iodine, sulfur, cobalt, copper, fluoride, manganese, and selenium.

All of them are part of our body because of the sun.

And how come that lately we just stay away from it? When did we become afraid of the sun? And why?

We became so afraid of the sun. We locked ourselves up in our apartments and houses, we work indoors. We are using a sun cream protector. When did our life become so complicated? Why we are so afraid? Why we don’t even aloud ourselves to walk outside without sunglasses?

Our eyes became sensitive just because we didn’t go outside in the sun in the first place. We can’t take natural light anymore because our eyes need to adapt to the new light, which is completely natural. But we became unnatural.

Sun enhances antioxidants, polyphenols, anthocyanosides, minerals, vitamins, nutrients, omega 3’s, 6’s, and 9’s, everything that makes us go and be and drum and work.

All the winter people are somehow waiting for the sun. It is like we don’t fully live without it. And that is true. Don’t you recognize it?

And yes, you shouldn’t expose yourself to the sun fully in the afternoon, when the sun is the hottest. As you may have noticed, when we go on our holiday, local people never expose themselves to the sun in the afternoon. Only, when they have to. Tourists or people who don’t know anything about the sun usually expose themselves totally, and that is why people get burned, and they damage their skin.

Bade in the sun in the morning, and in the evening, when the sun is not that strong. Do it gradually. It is different for the people who live in areas where the sun obtains all seasons. Their skin already has its natural protection. We who live in colder areas, need to be careful and smart. Don’t compare yourself with locals.

Try to connect with the sun. Meditate with it. Find your way. Sun has a soul. It is alive, like our planet Earth.

I do sometimes some sungazing. Sungazing helped me when I was tired and felt troubled.

Spiritually there is more than what we see. See that sun as somebody who is your friend. Talk to your healer. Became one with it.

And look all around, there is no plant that can live without the sun. Even plants that are not directly exposed to the sun, need some kind of light.

Being in the sun is something natural and for me, it feels like our sun is cuddling with me. It is like a battery charger.

People who used to spend their lives in prison and isolation suffered from health issues.

Deficiencies could increase the risk for osteoporosis, heart disease, some cancers, infectious diseases, and even the flu, according to the Harvard School of Public Health.

So ask yourself, is it worth it for me not to live according to the natural law?

Should I live in fear, or should I allow myself to enjoy life as I am supposed to, with all credits that are being given to me by my birth?

Go outside, walk, walk with your kids, and grandkids, inspire your children to play outside, enjoy life, and feel free.

And don’t believe everything that is being shared in the news.

Listen to your gut.

May the sunshine be with you.
